so i guess i should have like a summary ish bit of overall what i believe. to be honest its pretty shaky. i would say generally i agree with leftist ideas on most topics, (which is super vague and doesnt mean much lmao). basically not a fan of capitalism and i have unrealistic utopian ideas about what could be better. i think socialism is a step in the right direction, but i also highly value democracy and a transparent and free state. i don't think they are mutually exclusive unlike some people lmao. I just think that if we have the choice to structure our society however we want theoretically, why would we choose this way, with the high inequality, the exploitation of our own people, the destruction of our natural spaces. one thing is that i generally have an aversion to a violent and kind of unplanned revolution. maybe its the only way but i think it kind of encourages somebody to hijack the momentum and take things in a bad direction.
anyways like i was saying here people are totally just doing unnecesarry jobs all the time constantly. so much work is useless. and i'm aware of "bullshit jobs" but that doesn't really cover it. so much SO MUCH of our energy just as a civilization even is devoted to competing with each other. we could have. so much much more stuff or so much less labor required to achieve the same level of stuff we have now. not even including the military, so much stuff could get done so much more efficiently if things were done cooperatively. maybe its an intrinsic quality of humanity that we're really awful at making things efficient, but just imagine if we worked together on shit. we would be so much further ahead its not even funny.
