OKAY here is a link to my ????? something?

I kind of thought about it one day, and its a little crazy how planned out our lives are. especially because a lot of people kind of profess freedom, i guess, but there are really very few life paths available to choose from. of course within these boundaries a lot of cool stuff will happen, and its not the worst it could be, but i just feel like it is not the best. okay i'm being a little vague. what i mean is that people's lives are super open-ended, by default. you could just do whatever you wanted to. and thats like, a lot. you could just sit around the whole time and eat berries. but thats not really possible anymore. there is the social contract and everything, like hobbes or locke or whoever said, but its a little hard to opt out if there is no space that isn't a country. and ik the contract is kind of not individual really its like a whole society choice of "oh its better off if we all sacrifice a bit of freedom and in return we get all this safety and stuff". but its just wild how structured our lives are now. you 1. get born 2. go 2 school 3. go to college 4. get job 5. work 6. retire (maybe) 7. die. its wild because for so long i just kind of accepted that thats just like. how it is. but there is absolutely zero reason it has to be this way. its just that its so hard-wired into us. like this is not the "natural" order of things. its not how it shook out over billions of years of planning or whatever, nope its just like that because it was that way before for a while so why change it. people could be doing so much stuff with their lives but their stuck doing things they really don't need to be doing. i realize i am about to go on an unhinged political rant so i'm going to put that here.
